Pennsylvania State University
Availability / Marketing of Content
The content on the Latina/o studies site offered by Penn State is quite good given that there is no official Latina/o studies program available. Penn State does offer Latin American Studies, but does not yet offer Latina/o studies. There is a "Latina/o Studies initiative committee" which is working on bringing the program for the fall of 2006.
That being said, the site does offer information into the structure of the new coming program. It outlines their mission and their global principles. It offers some news regarding the program and articles written about the need for a Latina/o studies program. The faculty associated with the Latina/o Studies initiative is also showcased on the site. Links to corresponding departments are included as well.
